Online lessons are video lessons which allow for a tailored lesson topic. It's the next best thing to a regular monthly lesson, more affordable overall, and you get to keep the video lesson for reference. Inquire within at the contact page - onlinelessons email.

Online lessons are geared to students at any level and created to the lesson topics they choose to focus on. It's a vitrual personal lesson that's useful and easy to reference.

Process:

  • Sign up for a video lesson.  
  • Fill out the questionaire regarding where you're at right now with playing, reading music and your current level/proficiency on piano (or organ/keys).
    * Here is where you want to be perfectly clear and honest to the reality of where one is at with their instrument/music - we're setting up a realistic but useful starting point. Sending an MP3' of your level of playing are highly suggested as well.
  • You then request up to 2-3 topics to cover for your 60min video lesson (depending how involved each topic is) and I will make a video lesson outlining the requested topics. You now have a personalized video lesson in which you can download and keep to refer to at any time.
  • You can also follow up with an email with any questions regarding the lesson if you should need to.
  • Follow-up with more lessons at your leisure once you're ready to move on with more.
 
Video Lesson Features:
 
  • 50-60 minute lesson covering topics of choice
  • direct overhead shot of the instrument (piano or organ) for lesson clarity
  • in-video text pop-ups where applicable (e.g. - chord/notes, fingerings, specific stop settings, tab settings, tips, etc).
  • deliverable in windows .wmv 640x480, 1mbps, 160kbps audio

Lesson Topic (Examples):
  • beginners: hammond organ or piano basics, scales, modes, geography, technique
  • -chords: rooted and rootless voicings, progressions, etc.
  •  reading music and chord charts
  • comping, root movement, chord voicings/inversions/movement
  • approaches to feel: pushing/laying back, swing, funk/blues, straight, rock, approaches to ballad playing to fast-tempo playing, etc.
  • (organ) foot pedalwork basics, basslines and walking, tone management, etc
  • more approaches to solo piano or hammond organ - to playing with a duo/trio or more.
  • (organ): drawbar proficiency: popular settings, tone creations and approach, learning to adjust on the fly/shape your sounds
  •   (Piano/organ): fingerings, proper technique, shorcuts to faster learning and more
...and much more  because it's up to YOU to determine the focus of each lesson.
 

Each personalized video lesson costing $150.00 (low-cost $100.00 lesson fee + $50.00 for final video deliverable which you can refer to).

 

Information: 

- Lessons are completed in order of payment received. Please note: Being a working musician there are times where I limit lesson orders to give each lesson the proper attention.

- Each lesson can be time consuming so please allow proper time in editing your lesson session and delivery Lessons are delivered to your account as soon as they are complete and posted.

- You will have up to 5 days to download your requested video lesson online video file (.wmv, after which it will only be available to you by request.

- Each video is watermarked with your account name and number. Please do not post or distribute your personal videos in any way, shape or form. These are for you and you alone.
